After received his first pair of skis at the age of two, life was never the same for Italian giant slalom specialist Luca de Aliprandini. Within a year he considered himself already a proper skier and over time he earned a spot among the best giant slalom skiers in the world. After participating in the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014, he suffered an injury to his left knee and was forced to miss the following season. In 2017 a head injury prevented him from participating in the World Championships in St. Moritz. Four years later, his patience and hard work finally paid off big time as he made a childhood dream come true by winning a silver medal in the giant slalom race at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Cortina d’ Ampezzo in 2021. When he is not chasing perfect turns on snow, Luca is a passionate motocross rider and loves to spend his time in the mountains and surrounded by nature.
